Help to form a prayer rally at St. Agnes Cathedral, in the DRVC on Long Island, is greatly needed and appreciated. We need to offer a peaceful and prayerful wake up call to our Bishops. If I can go get my hair done, I can attend Mass. To be lumped in with parks and beaches in the 3rd phase of reopening is beyond disrespectful of our government, and it is such a let down by the clergy of this diocese who are allowing it. Why are they not fighting for us, God, and the Church? Please contribute any ideas you have to help form this long overdue and much needed rally. Thank you.

Howdy folks,
It seems like you guys have the right idea about praying in front of your diocesan cathedral, but I would like to add to that idea for anyone in the Albany diocese. If you live around here you know that the cathedral is right next door to the governor's mansion... a very effective visual display of Catholic Action would be to organize something like a perpetual rosary to be prayed outside of the Governor's mansion until he lifts the restrictions (by which I mean all restrictions). The optics of this- if it could be accomplished- would be striking, and there's obviously the spiritual component of taking up the rosary as your weapon which could be most effective against this tyranny.
There's a lot more to say on this topic of demonstration in the name of Catholic Action- ie: where to do it, how to go about it... but basically the bishops aren't going to step out of line with the government- they've proven that already. The USCCB gets way too much money from the US govt for the bishops to rock the boat- this is something the laity has to do.
One final thing which is a bit of good news: https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/new-york-governor-nyc-mayor-sued-for-pseudo-scientific-coronavirus-response?utm_source=LifeSiteNews.com&utm_campaign=6c172d32fc-Catholic_6_16_20&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_12387f0e3e-6c172d32fc-405145425
those are two priests from the Society that are suing the state. Diocesan priests aren't free to speak out or file lawsuits on this because of their bishops, but if the plaintiffs win here this would benefit every Catholic in the state.
